Thinking further, broader, deeper

Financial Planners

Spotting change and linking it to client priorities

Economic shifts, social trends, political decisions, technological advances, environmental pressures, and legal updates all shape the world your clients live in, and are at the center of the STEEPLE framework.

Financial planners who can spot change early, translate it into client priorities, and guide conversations with foresight build trust and deliver advice that feels relevant and timely.

The Thinking further, broader, deeper application canvas gives you a clear, repeatable way to bring broader forces into client conversations — without jargon, without overwhelm, and always tied back to what matters most.

With practical tips, reflective prompts, and conversation‑ready tools, you’ll keep discussions fresh, uncover true priorities, and show clients you’re thinking further, broader, and deeper.

Preparation and conversation

Note that the canvases below work best when applied prior to any conversation – as a planning and preparation activity.

Canvases can also be used to review and analyze approaches and behaviors after conversations, helping to de-brief conversations and learn lessons.
